About the Survey
The KeyBanc Capital Markets (KBCM) Private SaaS Company Survey has been published annually since 2010. It polls senior executives at 100–350+ privately held SaaS companies worldwide on growth rates, retention metrics, go-to-market efficiency, profitability, valuations, and operational benchmarks. Since 2023 the survey has been co-produced with Sapphire Ventures.
The analysis presented throughout this site draws on survey data from the 12th through 16th annual editions (2021–2025). Each press release below contains the verbatim text published by KeyBanc Capital Markets. The “Download Full Report” links point to the complete survey PDFs hosted on key.com.
